Study Leave for Tenured Instructional Faculty

Study Leave for Tenured Instructional Faculty, funded by the Provost, is intended to provide paid temporary leave for the support of advancing scholarly research, teaching, and/or creative activity, including the development of innovative teaching approaches and methods. The college encourages its full-time, tenured faculty with six or more years of service to George Mason University to pursue this opportunity.

Leave may be taken during the Fall or Spring semester of the academic year following the announcement of the award.  Leave may be taken for one semester at full pay or two semesters at half pay. The leave schedule must be approved by the department chair and Dean.
