Stigma

Through a grant from the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities, Assistant Professor Rodman Turpin aims to reduce internalized racism, homophobia, and related stigma to increase the use of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) among Black sexual minority men.

Dr. Rodman Turpin is an assistant professor in the Department of Global and Community Health, College of Public Health. Turpin's research focuses on HIV and STI prevention among racial/ethnic and sexual minorities, with a focus on Black sexual minority men.
