Biography

Ms. Liu is the MPH program coordinator with the Department of Global and Community Health. She is a Mason alumn and graduated with her BS in Community Health with a concentration in Global Health and a minor in Japanese studies. She obtained her Master of Public Health (MPH) at the Colorado School of Public Health. She has a background in global maternal and child health and is passionate about working towards achieving equity in reproductive and sexual health in vulnerable populations. Her passion in Public Health started when she traveled to El Salvador through the alternative trip program at Mason which focused on reproductive health rights in women and adolescents and violence prevention. She has experience in working with organizations working on targeting period poverty and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Prior to coming to Mason, she previously worked as the public health consultant for Community Organizing for Radial Empathy (CORE) and at the Hamkae Center as a public health program coordinator to achieve health equity in vaccine access and mental health resources for the Asian populations in Virginia.
